Yesterday we spent all morning walking around the Southern tip of Manhattan and visiting the Statue of Liberty. From Liberty Island, we had a great view of Manhattan.
We also walked through the financial district and saw Wall Street. Here are Jon and Joe standing next to the Bull. After that, we visited Ground Zero and St. Paul's Church.
Here's Ryan with the Brooklyn Bridge. Right after this picture was taken, the harbor was flooded with NY Police (fire engines, boats, and helicopters) looking for a body in the water. Supposedly someone had jumped in upriver. It was pretty exciting to see all the action.
That night, we went to Times Square to see it when it's all lit up. It was pretty cool. We had dinner in China Town...a Vietnamese Restaurant...and then had dessert in Little Italy.
This morning, we got up early to make it to the Today Show. We saw Meredith Viera, Matt Lauer, Al Roker, Ann Curry and special guest Martha Stewart! Not only did we see famous people, but we saw a convict too! We all shook Meredith's hand when she came over and we were on TV multiple times. We did our best and looked like waving fools every time the camera panned our way!
And tonight, our last night in the city, we went to see Beauty and the Beast on Broadway. It was really good and we all loved it! The best part was that we were in the very front row, right in the middle! Good job Mom on getting those tickets early!
After it was over, we stood outside and were able to get the autographs of most of the main actors. The girl who played Belle is from a Disney tv show that the kids love to watch (That's So Raven) and so the kids loved getting to see her and getting her autograph.
And that ends our stay in NYC! Tomorrow, we're getting up and driving to Vermont. Look out Michael, Amy, and Drew...here we come!!!

Hey Guys, Sounds as if NYC was great. Glad you could do so much while you were there. Naturally we watched the wrong TV station!! Have enjoyed your journey with you. Thanks for keeping us informed. Can't wait to hear more and see more pix.

We really enjoy keeping track of you guys on your trip--we did get to see you on the Today show. You are a great looking group. Dena taped it. Dad and I are feeling better, thank goodness. We were hoping to see pics of Andy and Courtney; also take some of Amy, Michel and Drew and give them all a hug for us.
